Junior Golf at Buck Hill Golf Club
Buck Hill Golf Club hosts an avid Junior Golf Program. The professional staff at Buck Hill facilitates an instructional program that is tailored to Juniors of all skill levels starting at the age of 5. Clinics are conducted twice weekly for golfers under the age of ten, and three days a week for golfers between the ages of 11-13. Buck Hill Golf Club is ecstatic that it hosts and educates over 100 young golfers annually. The staff takes considerable pride in maintaining a student teacher ratio of no more than 6-8 to 1. Private instruction is also available, and can be arranged through the professional staff.
In addition to the instructional sessions, Buck Hill Golf Club also provides the Junior Golfer with the opportunity to compete in weekly supervised tournaments. Golfers compete against players of similar age, and play 4, 7, or 9 holes respectively. Buck Hill Golf Club’s Junior Tournament Series culminates with its Junior Championship and the Parent-Child tournament, an annual tournament that dates back to 1923.
Buck Hill Golf Club also provides Junior Memberships and strives to foster a welcoming and positive environment for Junior Golfers. The staff at Buck Hill Golf Club stresses the etiquette and rules of the games as much, if not more, than the fundamentals of the swing.
